Christopher J. Bonghi, CPA, MBA

Christopher specializes in providing assurance, tax and consulting services to SBFR’s closely-held businesses and high net worth clients. His experience encompasses clients in a broad range of industries, including: manufacturing, hospitality, real estate, construction, employee benefits, oil & gas, automotive, not-for-profit, and governmental.

Christopher holds both a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Master in Business Administration from Canisius College. He formerly held partner-level positions with two large local CPA firms, one in which he helped co-found. His experience also includes significant tenure with two “Big Four” international firms in Rochester, New York where he worked principally on both closely-held and publicly-traded corporations.

He is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and has had numerous community affiliations over the years including the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Program, Niagara Community Missions, and various alumni associations.

Christopher also is a member of advisory boards of certain clientele and serves as a quality control review partner for several out of town CPA firms.
